The strangest Secret

Day Forty One

Ever noticed that a person who is successful tends to continue to become successful?

Ever met someone and just knew that they were brilliant or successful and the more you find out about them the more your assumptions were proved right?

What about those people that just have that ‘thing’ about them? They just give you this vibe that they are a good person, that they are headed somewhere in life and knowing them is worthwhile.

What is it about them that makes you know things without them needing to reveal it to you?

The same is also true in the reverse.

You ever met someone and just instantly knew they were bad news? That something about them felt off?

This is part of the strangest secret and to put it plainly, the strangest secret is this: we become what we think about.

That our thoughts influence our emotions which influence our actions which determine our outcomes.

But it’s more than this. It’s a state of mind that we cultivate that gives out an aura of who we are.

Someone people walk into a room and immediately inspire confidence. They are used to leading. This doesn’t mean they never lose on occasion but more often than not, they win!

Cultivating this aura of invincibility is possible for all of us. Some come to it more easily than the rest of us but that doesn’t mean we’re incapable of inspiring confidence, or nurturing such presence that your absence is felt.

Think about what you’re thinking about, be careful to make sure that you are building yourself up rather than tearing yourself down.

Incremental progress is monumental in the realm of personal development. It’s monumental because change, especially of the personal kind is very hard and it takes time, attention and effort.

If that sounds off putting, remember this: it’s worth it.

In the end, it will all be worth it.

I heard this concept from a speaker called Earl Nightingale, he was one of the first speakers to talk about the law of attraction and the secret, almost 50 years before the book the secret came out and his work is incredible.

You can search him on YouTube and find some gems in his content.
